Senior Medicinal Wellness Walk

  • Newton Community Farm 303 Nahanton Street Newton MA 02459 (map)

Join herbalist Mo Katz-Christy for a slow meander through the fields of Newton Community Farm to learn how we can harvest local plants to use as medicine! We will explore weeds and cultivated plants, trees and shrubs, and have lots of space for questions and conversation. Bring a notebook if you like and get ready to nibble and use all our senses to explore our botanical neighbors.

While this program is aimed at seniors it is open to anyone interested in learning about medicinal herbs.

This event will be held at Newton Community Farm, 303 Nahanton Street, Newton 02459 on Wednesday, May 27th from 6:00 to 7:30 pm.

Please park on Winchester Street and meet the instructor on the barn deck.

$10 per person

Limited to 25 participants

Bio:

Mo Katz-Christy (they/them), an herbalist from Cambridge, MA, approaches herbalism by connecting folks to the knowledge they already have about their body and herbs through working with kitchen medicine, ancestral traditions, and mulberries falling on the sidewalk! Mo graduated from a three-year clinical herbalism program at the Vermont Center for Integrative Herbalism in 2022 and works one-on-one with clients to address imbalances and to build long-term healing.
