The Strengthen the Farm Fund

Help keep our Farm and community strong.

Your gift will be matched when you give today!

Support Vital Improvements at Newton’s Last Working Farm

As part of our Strengthen the Farm Campaign, we’re raising $50,000 this summer for essential improvements that will make the Farm safer, more functional, and ready for the future. Thanks to a $75,000 grant from the Community Preservation Act Fund, we’re already more than halfway there.

Your gift today will be matched 100% by a generous group of board and community members and will help complete this urgent work.

With Your Help, We Will:

  • Rebuild the deck — the essential bridge between our fields, barn, and gathering spaces

  • Replace malfunctioning deck doors — important for ease of use and daily operations

  • Repaint the farmhouse interior — part of a 20-year maintenance cycle

  • Repair barn and tractor bay doors — used daily by Farm staff and visitors

These aren’t cosmetic upgrades—they’re crucial investments in the Farm’s long-term sustainability, supporting everything from daily operations to educational programs and community events.

Please take a moment to make a generous gift now. You will help keep the Farm strong so we can continue to offer fresh sustainable produce and educational opportunities to everyone in our community! Your gift will be doubled and will make twice the impact.

What’s Next: A Refrigerated Truck to Expand Our Reach

As we strengthen the Farm’s core, we’re also planning for the future—starting with our first-ever refrigerated truck. With limited cold storage and an aging vehicle, this $95,000 upgrade will help us:

  • Keep food fresher, longer

  • Store produce safely during harvesting and at markets

  • Expand the amount of food we can donate to local food pantries

We’ve already secured early grant support for this truck—and we’ll share more soon. If you're excited to help move this project forward, please reach out to Michael Spalding at mike@newtoncommunityfarm.org.

Thank you for all the ways you support Newton Community Farm.
