How does NCF serve the Newton community? How does it build various "communities" (e.g., youth, home gardeners, organizations working to address food insecurity)? We strive to be a place of belonging—a place that fosters relationships. How does a connection to the land, to a specific place and history, help build and strengthen our community?
Join the Farm's founding board president, Jon Regosin, as he explores the theme of community and reminds us of the various communities that came together 20-plus years ago to create this farm, and how the Farm can continue nurturing a variety of communities to make a stronger, healthier, more resilient Newton.
This event will be held in the barn at Newton Community Farm, 303 Nahanton Street, Newton MA 02459.
This event is free, but registration is requested as space is limited.
Bio: Jon Regosin was the President of the Farm’s Board of Directors in its inaugural season. He is a Technical Advisor and Consulting Biologist for the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries & Wildlife and a member of the Newton Conservator’s Board of Directors.
