When: Sunday, October 26th, 1-4pm

Where: Newton Community Farm, 303 Nahanton Street, Newton (corner of Nahanton and Winchester Streets)

What: a Festival to celebrate the harvest and our wonderful farm community (you!) Activities will include:

Farm Tours

Children's activities
- pumpkin decorating with items from nature
- vegetable stamp card making
- group weaving activity using saplings and branches

Educational and Farm Demonstrations
- sustainable farming demonstration
- jam/jelly making
- composting with worms
- freezing and fermenting foods
- more on classes and volunteering at the farm

Live Music!
- The Boston Front Porch (a local bluegrass band)
- Outrageous Fortune (a jazz, blues and folk duo)
- Julia Priest (music and movement for kids)

Food tastings
- home-baked breads and cakes
- hot soup and cider courtesy of Whole Foods

A Silent Auction
- interesting items from our farm members and volunteers
- gift certificates and items from local businesses
